Dolav Box Pallets have been sold in the UK and Ireland for more than a quarter of a century. More than 400,000 have found homes in the meat, agricultural, chemical, pharmaceutical, recycling, engineering and assembly industries.

Are Dolav products over-engineered or are they supremely fit for purpose?

DOLAV chose to serve tough customers when it was founded more than 30 years ago. The Agri-business demands long-life resilience from its equipment  which is used outdoors in testing climates in all weathers.  Many of the original DOLAV plastic pallet boxes are still in daily use on all continents. They have met the market’s expectations.

The Dolav engineering approach was unique. It made its heavy-duty bins using vertical moulding machines forming relatively thick sections of specially formulated HDPE, avoiding the flimsy ribs required on thinner section bins and limiting the built-in stress engendered by other manufacturing methods.

This over-engineering approach has paid off for DOLAV and its customers, especially in hygiene conscious industries of food and pharmaceuticals.

The extra strength has proven to offer low life-time cost even in the metals industry where sharp edged heavy components soon wreck other equipment.  It is really appreciated in the growing Recycling Industry where non-functioning equipment containing valuable recoverable materials is definitely not handled with care.
